Whether travelling by foot, bicycle, car, bus, train or plane, Firepool has excellent links to Taunton’s facilities and local, national and international travel infrastructure.

By train, London Paddington is within 1 hour 45 minutes, Bristol 36 minutes and Exeter just 25 minutes.

Junction 25 of the M5 is 2 miles to the east of the town centre which links to the national road network while the A303 provides another major arterial route linking London and the South West.

Bristol and Exeter airports provide national, European and global connections including North America.

The new Northern Inner Distributor Road, due for completion 2011 / 2012, is adjacent to Firepool and will greatly improve accessibility to and from the scheme.

Firepool will directly connect to existing cycle routes throughout the town and along the River Tone as it passes through Firepool’s heart.

The boulevard will provide the new link for pedestrians from the railway station through Firepool to the waterfront and town centre.
